We are currently recruiting for a:  Intermediate Architectural Draftsperson
This is a full time, permanent position

Qualifications

Position Overview

The successful candidate will join our team of drafting and design technologists whose primary responsibility is to draw complete customer home plans. This position requires a positive individual with strong technical, organizational and communication skills that will be an integral part of our drafting team and take on increasing responsibilities as experience levels grow.

Job Duties

  • Draw customer changes to standard plans including creating new alternate elevations, floor plans, details and options
  • Creating site plans
  • Submitting applications for approval to architectural control
  • Writing extra to contracts for additional architectural control requirements including clarifications using HomeFront
  • Completing check-sets for other team members
  • Requesting and checking structural layouts and required engineering
  • Maintaining standard plans
  • Creating reports
  • Communication and integration with other departments, architectural controls, developers, trades, suppliers and municipal or city officials
  • Participate in drafting department meetings, site visits and developer's monthly meetings

Requirements

  • Architectural Technologists Program graduate or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years experience in the industry
  • Team player
  • A strong desire to contribute in a customer focused environment
  • Ability to meet goals and work to deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment
  • Excellent technical knowledge in residential drafting
  • Speed, accuracy and proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent knowledge in residential drafting, local building codes and by-laws practices
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with a focus on residential drafting
  • Extremely well organized with good interpersonal skills
  • Working experience in Revit will be an asset

We are currently recruiting for a: Production Designer
This is a full time, temporary position

Qualifications

Position Overview

The Production Designer is responsible for the creation and execution of electronic files to produce all marketing collateral and advertising. This individual must ensure that all branded items follow identity guidelines. The Production Designer must have the ability to multi task to deadlines, work independently and maintain a balanced focus between creativity and results

Job Duties

  • Prepare final digital files for print, online, and sales collateral including phase maps, signage, online ads, brochures, signs, direct mail pieces and promotional pieces
  • Update content and create new documents within existing design templates while maintaining the integrity of the original design
  • Assist with the preparation, production and installation of Sales Centre marketing materials
  • Assist staff with logo usage
  • Document pertinent information relating to projects, such as timesheets, instructions, etc.
  • Manage concurrent projects
  • Maintain website content using a content management system
  • Proofread advertising and marketing materials

Requirements

  • Post secondary degree or diploma in graphic communications, electronic publishing, information design, new media or similar
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience
  • Proficient in: Adobe CS6, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Results oriented with a strong attention to detail
  • Adaptable and Flexible
  • Team player with excellent time management skills.
