This is a Full Time Permanent position.

Qualifications

Position Overview:

The Service & Warranty Coordinator receives and processes Service/ Warranty requests for work required in our homes. In addition s/he answers routine procedural questions and also schedules Trico service technicians or appropriate trades to address outstanding defects.

Responsibilities:

  • Follows up with home owners at appropriate times and responds to home owner concerns;
  • Issues, distributes and follows up on service work orders;
  • Schedule warranty appointments and trade days;
  • Document after hour emergencies and follow up to ensure completion;
  • Communicates with Construction & Sales teams regarding service policies or information that may be required
  • Provides administrative support with various tasks for Service technicians
  • Other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Strong customer service skills are a must.

Qualifications

Position Overview

Reporting directly to the Site Supervisor, the Site Assistant is responsible for assisting with various aspects of project management on worksites, including aiding to ensure compliance with design, project specifications, regulations, and timelines and safety codes. The incumbent will aid with the development of project specifications assisting in developing and maintaining construction and production schedule. The Site Assistant must advise the Site Supervisor of any potential problems, work interferences, and scheduling difficulties and work together to attempt to resolve any issues.

Responsibilities

  • Aid in overseeing residential construction sites to ensure compliance with design, project specifications, regulations and safety codes
  • Plan, implement and monitor construction plans alongside the Site Supervisor
  • Aid in the management of construction site startup
  • Ensure that safe work practices and procedures are being followed onsite at all times
  • Aid in the coordination and direction of all construction workers on worksites
  • Ensure accurate and timely project close date; help to adjust working schedules to ensure deadlines are met
  • Work alongside the Site Supervisor to resolve any constructional issues that may arise
  • Help the Site Supervisor with jobsite administration duties such as timesheet completion for works and any daily logs that need to be maintained
  • Ensure proper manpower levels are available onsite each day to ensure constructional completion
  • Ensure proper materials and quantities of materials are onsite prior to daily work commencing
  • Participate in project meetings with internal and external parties to monitor and report on progression of building
  • Aid in the supervision of workers onsite
  • Help with the development, monitoring and overseeing quality control measures on worksites
  • Suggest ideas for cost effective alternative measures to improve financial performance on projects
  • Ensure building inspections are completed periodically throughout the construction phases to ensure buildings meet specifications of clients
  • Any other duties as required

Qualifications and Experience

  • Post-secondary school degree or diploma in a construction related area of study
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct work experience working in residential construction
  • Previous experience overseeing construction worksites would be considered an asset
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, field drawings and plans
  • A solid understanding of all residential construction trades and construction techniques
  • Effectiveness in the areas of construction safety and productivity
  • Knowledge of local, provincial and federal workplace compliance regulations, ordinances and legislation in relation to the construction industry, specifically residential construction
  • Commitment to working in a team environment, with established team building abilities
  • Strong communication, integration, problem-solving and interpersonal skills
  • Strong dedication to health and safety in the workplace

Position Overview

The Site Superintendent will be responsible for the supervision of all construction activities that take place on the work site, ensuring high standards of workmanship and efficiency. The Superintendent will be responsible for the management of all on-site construction workers and enforcement of all required safety and work regulation policies. All work crews and individuals on-site shall take direction from the Superintendent, who is responsible for assigning required work and applying resources to accomplish that work. Site Superintendents are responsible for the efficient use of labor, machines, and materials by their crews, and will report on such things as personnel, costs and safety. Other responsibilities will include the planning and scheduling of work, and maintaining records of all materials used and the progress made on a job. While this job is mainly a position of supervision and management, the Superintendent may be required to assist in construction work on an occasional basis.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Construction Manager with the initial mobilization and set up of the construction site.
  • Ensure high standards of workmanship and efficiency.
  • Ensure the efficient use of labor, machines and materials used by the crew.
  • Take an active role in the selection, training, assignment and supervision of project staff, including monitoring performance, providing feedback and taking corrective action.
  • Coordinate the daily activities of project staff, construction trades and subcontractors, and use corrective actions to keep the project on time and on budget.
  • Assist in the resolution of design issues, change requests, material defects and equipment problems.
  • Monitor job progress and costs, and provide regular progress reporting to management.
  • Establish effective onsite communications and progress reporting with sub-trades and clients.
  • Provide coaching and training to Site Assistants
  • Ensure compliance with Trico's health and safety training and reporting requirements.
  • Review construction plans for compliance with all applicable codes, regulations and ordinances such as plumbing, mechanical, electrical, structural, zoning and planned development.
  • Mediate and resolve disputes and code issues.
  • Read, interpret, and understand construction drawings and specifications, the city codes and ordinances regarding building codes, permit issuance, and permit fees.
  • Any other duties as required

Requirements

  • College diploma in appropriate construction related field.
  • A minimum of 7 years experience in construction and at least 3 as a Site Superintendent
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, field drawings and plans.
  • A solid understanding of all construction trades and construction techniques.
  • Strong management, delegation, planning and leadership skills.
  • Effectiveness in the areas of construction safety and productivity.
  • Knowledge of local, provincial and federal workplace compliance regulations, ordinances and legislation.
  • Have an understanding of land development process and land development construction.
  • Have a clear valid driver's license; an abstract will be required.
  • Have oral and written communication expertise which is complimented with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
