We are currently recruiting for a: Marketing Coordinator
This is a Full Time Permanent position

Position Overview:

The Marketing Coordinator will play an integral role in the Trico Marketing Team. This individual is a team player with a strong work ethic that will ensure all deadlines are met, all projects are completed and external communication is current & up-to-date. This highly organized and efficient person will thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy having a diverse to do list. Our ideal candidate is a creative thinker, loves details and will always make sure every "i" is dotted and every "t" is crossed. The Marketing Coordinator is also required to have a vehicle to drive to sales centers in the community and is willing to work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Create and produce marketing materials for Sales Centers
  • Showhome/Sales Centre planning, set-up and coordination including phone/fax & cable hookups, furniture move-in dates, installation dates, booking face painters etc.
  • Create and produce spec sheets, displays, colour maps, home model brochures, colour floorplans and other design elements as required.
  • Create electronic page layouts using publishing software (e.g. InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Microsoft Office, etc.)
  • Create and produce PNG files for model elevations and plan your home options for website.
  • Inspect proofs for accuracy and adherence to corporate standards
  • Manage document flow to printer, ensuring most recent files are available for sales and irrelevant materials are removed in a timely manner.
  • Assist in making updates to the Trico Website using our content web management system.
  • Assist in adding spec homes, new models and model options to the website through a CMS.
  • Make revisions to marketing materials and update maps & POS materials as needed by sales team.
  • Produce flyers, advertisements, brochures, logos, signage, and other exhibits/displays based on design specifications.
  • Adhere to specifications and standards for printing and other production.
  • Provides technical graphics assistance to marketing team and sales associates.
  • Participate in marketing planning meetings on a project-by-project basis.
  • Coordinate and maintain inventory of brochures for the marketing department library.
  • Assist with opening project dockets in Intervals & Excel sheets
  • Ensure toner & paper is fully stocked for the printer. Communicate with service techs for all colour printer issues or malfunctions.
  • Submit & coordinate all materials for the SAM (national, provincial & local) & all other award entries
  • Coordinate with developers/builders for all community logos, maps and any needed elements
  • Proofread and coordinate approval process with all departments and executives.
  • Act as a liaison between sales managers & vendors to execute all aspects of Trico's marketing program including all signage (directional, lot & various), show home pageantry, brochures and point of sale displays, promotional websites, as well as community events
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Marketing Manager and VP of Marketing.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma in Business and/or Marketing
  • 3 years of direct work experience in a marketing capacity
  • Able to work well under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven team player who is both flexible and adaptable
  • Graphic design skills and an eye for aesthetics in presentation material
  • Excellent computer skills

We are currently recruiting for a Estimator Multi Family

This is a full time, permanent position.

Qualifications

Position Overview:

The Estimator will be responsible for the accurate, timely preparation of conceptual and full-cost estimates and cost advices for projects, including materials and labour. He or she will be tasked with preparing specifications, bidding documents, quote analysis, trade contracts, cost control and cost-to-complete reports. This individual's accuracy is critical to the profitability of the business, as under-estimates may cause significant financial losses and over-estimates may reduce our competitiveness. Other duties will be assigned as necessary.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare materials, labour and equipment cost estimations necessary to successfully carry out a construction project according to proposals, plans, and specifications.
  • Provide cost input in the planning stage of projects with regards to construction costs of base and optional features.
  • Prepare bidding documents.
  • Prepare bid invitation to trades and organize bidding lists. Maintain bidding websites and portals for bidders to obtain all the necessary information to prepare their bids.
  • Clarify trades queries.
  • Analyze quotations, negotiate contract prices and terms, coordinate and finalize selection of trades.
  • Prepare trade contracts and issue PO's.
  • Evaluate and recommend allowances for indirect costs, design unknowns, escalation and contingency.
  • Prepare base budget templates and issue base budget to the estimating system.
  • Prepare Cost-to-complete reports to reflect current project costs, profit margins and outstanding payments
  • Prepare progress claims.
  • Maintain files of working documents as back-up for estimate figures, including current (accurate) information on prices from suppliers through direct contact, sales brochures, price lists etc.
  • Prepare templates on interior packages and upgrade options.
  • Review approved ETC/Addenda prior to releasing to site/trades.
  • Monitor and keep record of all site changes and changes by architect/ site instructions.
  • Work with construction schedule, raise alarm to any late ETC/Addendum involving structural changes or changes with additional costs incur.
  • Invoice approval.
  • Cost control.
  • Explore new technology and products in construction industry and determine the cost implications and feasibility of application.
  • Review working drawings. Address any missing or incorrect items.
  • Coordinate with consultants to obtain necessary drawings, reports and project information.
  • Job shadowing with Production Coordinator.
  • Prepare and maintain a list of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors.
  • Support other department personnel as required which may include preparing estimates for other disciplines; checking brochure compliance to specifications; providing information to lawyers for condo documents drafting etc.
  • Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 3 plus years of experience in estimating with a minimum of 1 year of Multi-family hands-on experience in:
    • Quote analysis, negotiation and providing recommendation
    • Cost estimating - conceptual, preliminary and detailed
    • Cost control including preparing cost-to-complete reports
    • Preparing progress claim
    • Specification writing
    • Lump Sum Trade contract drafting and execution
    • Familiar with DP and BP City processes
    • Coordinating with architects, engineers and consultants
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Building, Construction Management, Architectural Technologies, Quantity Surveying or equivalent from a recognized technical institute.
  • Designation of PQS and/or CEC is an asset.
  • Ability to interpret and provide comments on architectural, structural, mechanical blueprints and specifications, from technical and costing points of view.
  • Mathematical skills and analytical skills necessary to do material and labour estimates and cost-to-complete reports.
  • Excel at intermediate level and excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Proficient with professional estimating programs such Timberline and/ or Microsoft Office AX - Home Builder One.
  • Knowledge of condo documents and condo management will be an asset.
  • Ability to multi task, have flexibility to switch between projects and work to deadlines.
  • Effective verbal and listening communication skills.
  • Capacity to train and coach other peer members in the department.
  • Time management skills.
  • Proactive in ensuring job knowledge is current.
  • Respect diversity - treat others with respect.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with a minimum of supervision.
